Scroll down and Comment! Should the Toronto High school students have been suspended? What do you think?
This is the first page of a brave new Course!
Allowing collaboration among all of us.
"Through social interaction... we learn!
First topic:
How do we make this Wiki an important part of our learning?
This is a test for the next day
From Samantha:INFORMATION IS GREAT, WE ACTUALLLY NEED IT FOR LIFE =D

Wiki can be part of learning because we can have at least one person that can post the days homework in detail and people can leave notes to help people that are confused on what to do on a project or assignment. This could help people that don't know they have homework or people that are away sick find out what needs to be done for the next day or sometime later in the week or month or whatever! :P
So far So good. ++MJJB
Sure hope this can help..

An Input device is something the user uses to control something on, for example, a computer where as an output device is something a computer would use to show or supply you with something. Like how a monitor "shows" the user whats on the screen but a mouse lets the user "control" the cursor!

About the suspension thing, I dont think they should suspended. If they said it right to the principal or in the the school itself they should been suspended. People have the right to speak their mind and teachers cant take that away from them because they heard or saw them say it outside of the school. What the kids did was bad but they shouldnt have been punished that way. By the way Raptors will win.-Travis
I was checking out the New Page function and made a stupid page with a cool wallpaper on it and the page is called project 1337 H-4X. If you want to see it for some stupid reason go to the bottom of the page and if you look around you should see "Project 1337 H-4X" in the box called wiki information under recent changes!
I don't think that those kids should have been suspended because the incident didnt take place in school or on a school computer. Maybe the principal or w.e. could have told the parents but he shouldn't have been punished in school for something he did at home. I guess tomorrow if I don't wash the dishes i'll have to go to detention when i get to school....-Trés-Von
I agree..Those students shouldn't have been suspended. I mean, it might be the school's business to teach us the right thing to do, but we shouldn't be punished for expressing ourselves. If someone says something bad about you, do you punish them? no, because it's their space. They have the right to speak what they think. As for those students, maybe they just lack discipline. But not to the point of suspension. The school should have just reprimanded them so that they would learn their lesson. Suspending them doesn't teach them anything. They might even do more bad things..<this is what I think..ü>

Bill Gates Vs. General Motors

For all of us who feel
only the deepest love and affection
for the way computers
have enhanced our lives, read on.
At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared
the computer industry
with the auto industry and
stated,
"If GM had kept up
with technology like
the computer industry has, we would all
be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000
miles to the gallon."
In response to Bill's comments, General
Motors issued a press release stating:
If GM had developed technology like
Microsoft, we would all be driving cars
with the following characteristics (and
I just love this part):
1. For no reason whatsoever, your car
would crash....... .
Twice a day.
2. Every time they repainted the lines
in the road, you would have to buy a new
car.
3. Occasionally your car would die on
the freeway for no reason. You would
have to pull to the side of the road,
close all of the windows, shut off the
car, restart it, and reopen the windows
before you could continue. For some
reason you would simply accept this.
4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver
such as a left turn would cause your car
to shut down and refuse to restart, in
which case you would have to reinstall
the engine.
5. Macintosh would make a car that was
powered by the sun, was reliable, five
times as fast and twice as easy to drive
- but would run on only five percent of
the roads.
6. The oil, water temperature, and
alternator warning lights would all be
replaced by a single "This Car Has
Performed An Illegal Operation" warning
light.
7. The airbag system would ask "Are you
sure?" before deploying.
8. Occasionally, for no reason
whatsoever, your car would lock you out
and refuse to let you in until you
simultaneously lifted the door handle,
turned the key and grabbed hold of the
radio antenna.
9. Every time a new car was introduced
car buyers would have to learn how to
drive all over again because none of the
controls would operate in the same
manner as the old car.
10. You'd have to press the "Start"
button to turn the engine off.
Please share this with your friends who
love - but sometimes hate -their computer! -krisle
